The Other 5 Fun Facts About Me

Like I promised in my previous blog, here are the other five fun facts about me!

1. I like to listen to podcasts
When I discovered podcasts, my life changed for the better. I stumbled upon podcasts when some of my favorite YouTubers, Remi Cruz and Alisha Marie, created their podcast called Pretty Basic. When I realized podcasts made long drives and workouts go quicker, I started searching for more. I love to listen to Rachel Hollis’ RISE podcast for motivation, How I Built This with Guy Raz for inspiring business startup stories and Stupid Genius by Emma Chamberlain for a good laugh and many moments of ah-ha!

2. If I didn’t major in marketing, I would purse event planning
One of my favorite things to do is to plan a party or event. I thrive from how organized you must be while planning something. I love to put together games or decorations for a party to make it the best experience as possible. One of my favorite movies is 27 Dresses, because the lead actress, Katherine Heigl, is a wedding planner.

3. I play college volleyball
I touched on this in previous blogs, but I’ve loved the sport of volleyball since I was in middle-school. My mom and older sister both played college volleyball, which sparked my interest to follow in their footsteps. I’m so happy with my decision to continue my volleyball career at Ohio Northern. If I could redo my recruiting process, I wouldn’t change a thing.

4. I hate anything scary
For as far back as I can remember, I have never liked scary things. If you put on a scary movie, I’ll watch it with my hands over my eyes. Even the (supposedly) humorous Scary Movie series make me on edge. I know I’m pathetic! I won’t think twice about going to a haunted house. I used to be petrified of my basement at home and was convinced it was haunted for the longest time. Even when I come home while it’s dark and late, you’ll catch me running as fast as I can to the door. Now that you know this fact, please don’t try to scare me!

5. I like to do outdoorsy things
One of my family’s favorite things to do together is ride bikes down our town’s bike path. We laugh constantly and hope nobody crashes along the way. Another activity I enjoy is kayaking down a local creek in my hometown. I love the outdoors to a certain extent, because I get sunburnt very easily and I despise mosquito bites.
