COVID Craziness: Senior Year Edition

Image
Senior year is in full swing and my schedule is becoming very busy week by week. As we continue onto the next phase, we are allowed to begin playing volleyball. Now the ultimate challenge of balancing school, practice, workouts and meetings are beginning. Having my best gal pal ( Em Brock ) with me in every class sheds some light on a very dark, long tunnel that I like to call senior year. As a freshman, I remember looking forward four years and it feeling so far away. Well here we are, four years later and holy cow the realizations of graduation are setting in. As a country lover, I will be living life during my senior year by the wise words of Kenny Chesney, “Don’t Blink”. With all the “lasts” that come with senior year, I wish one of them could be COVID. I just wish we could all have a normal senior year where we don’t have to wear a mask in class or feel like you’re being watched 24/7. I could go on and on about the disappointments COVID has brought to the year 2020. I feel like I’

What Altered my Brand Loyalty?

Hello and welcome back to Keeping up with Paige! In my opinion, blogging about fun topics you are passionate about is WAY easier than a blog about a series topic. Don’t get me wrong – both are great, but this week’s blog is going to be about my passion for podcasts . I started listening to podcasts after multiple boring drives from college to back home. Sometimes I wasn’t in the mood to listen to the radio or Spotify, so I needed to find something new.  I went to Spotify’s Business & Technology podcast categories and the rest was history. I found “How I Built This with Guy Raz” and immediately fell in love. Side note – podcasts make a one-hour drive feel like 10 minutes! Each episode, Guy Raz dives into the stories behind some of the world's best-known companies . Since I’m a business major and a lover of inspiring entrepreneur stories, I would be lying if I should I didn't want to change the world after listening to one episode. I wanted to think of a product or service t

As you probably read in my previous blog, I was a Social Media Intern, so aiding clients in reaching their customers through social platforms became very essential. During the summer, I wrote a blog on how businesses can stay connected with their customers through social media. Due to the shutdown, digital marketing, email marketing, video content and the list goes on became crucial to maintain that relationship with customers. During this time of uncertainty, questions come to mind like...  When will things return to “normal”? When will I be able to open my doors to the public? When can I meet with clients/customers in person again? How can I continue to serve my customers when I can’t meet with them face-to-face? …and the list goes on. While we are all operating under a new “normal”, there are ways in which you can still serve and connect with your clients during these changing times – social media and digital marketing. 5 Ways to Stay Connected with Customers on Social Media 1.  Con

Back and Better Than Ever

Hello and welcome to Keeping up with Paige! What better way to start out a semester of blogging than introducing myself! My name is Paige Hartings and I’m a senior Marketing Major and Social Media Minor from Coldwater, OH. I come from a small family that includes me, my mom (Patty), my dad (Rick), my older sister (Erika) and our Yorkie (Levi). We are a close-knit family, lovers of vacationing, going on family bike rides and making memories together. Enough about me… let me share what I did during my summer break! Due to quarantine, it wasn’t a typical summer break, but I’m not complaining. It has been a HOT summer, so for someone who sunburns very, very easily… I’m ready for cooler temperatures. Early June, my dad’s side of the family always travels somewhere on vacation and this year was to a house in Hocking Hills. This was our 4 th time going to Hocking Hills as a family, but we were staying at a brand-new house. The long weekend was the perfect getaway from all the COVID craziness
