Preparation for Spring Break

It’s almost spring break (thank goodness) and I’m going to write about how my group of friends planned our trip. Here are the steps we took in figuring out where we wanted to go to what we wanted to do.

1. Figure out your group
My two roommates and I asked a few people if they would want to go on spring break. We wanted to have as many as possible to make even more memories.

2. Pick a destination
Once we figured out who was all going, we threw around some ideas on where to go. Our final decision was to go to Nashville, Tennessee. We picked somewhere that was close enough to drive, but still warmer than Ohio.

3. Set your budget
Next, we had to see what we wanted to spend on lodging, food and drinks, activities, events and other things. Our budget determined how many days we were going to stay in Nashville.

4. Find somewhere to stay
We only searched on Airbnb for a place to stay, because that’s what we were most familiar with. After many hours of searching, we found the cutest place for a good price that was close to downtown. The hostess of the Airbnb gave us a lot of suggestions for things to do and places to eat at around the area.

5. Plan activities to do or events to attend
We looked at concerts and events happening during the time of when we would be there. We will be watching the Nashville Predators play the Dallas Stars, singing our hearts out at a Dan and Shay concert and experiencing Nashville nightlife. We used SeakGeek to get the tickets for a great price.

6. Organize the little details
After everything was planned, I made a final itinerary. Since we’re staying in an Airbnb, it gives us the opportunity to make our own breakfast and lunch. We thought we could go to dinner every night but save money by bringing our own food.

7. The countdown begins
Wahoo! Everything is planned and paid for, and now all we have to do is wait for the day we leave. I’m glad we planned ahead so we can enjoy the countdown.

I hope my blog can help you if you're planning a trip. We leave March 5th from Ohio Norther and get back March 8th. I am so excited to experience a new city and make everlasting memories with my best friends. Stay tuned for a recap blog of our trip!
